Welcome to The Golden East Railroad Modelers club!
This 5,000 square foot model railroad is modeled in HO (1/87th) scale and has been completed by years of labor from many of our club members. It includes multiple features such as lighted buildings, street lights, thousands of model trees, many moving trains, lots of miniature vehicles and many other items that you will have to see to believe. This exhibit is the largest completed club layout in the Carolinas and Virginia. While you enjoy this miniature world be sure to participate in the scavenger hunt to find fun items like the Polar bear. We also have club members available to answer any questions you may have about the railroad.
The club also hosts a Lionel model train exhibit that includes operating trains and other items around the layout. The kids will enjoy the push buttons that operate the trains and blow the whistle, along with other items around the layout.
In addition to the HO and O scale layouts, you will see a N scale layout along with O and G scale trains moving around the upper walls of the main display area.
“The Junction” is open to the general public each Saturday from 11 am till 4 pm. This exhibit promises not to disappoint and is located inside the climate controlled Golden East Crossing Mall, 1100 N. Wesleyan Blvd Rocky Mount, NC
